What an opportunity!
Imagine taking part in a competition and actually winning the main prize of being prepared by a professional cycling coach for six months for the toughest amateur cycling race in the world. Additionally you also get to spend 7 days at a training camp in Spain. Cool, right?
That's exactly what Anna Lena and Fabian did with the help of Bora- hansgrohe coach Helmut Dollinger. And 15 Love was there to create a mini-series out of it.
Our Task.
How hard is it to conquer the toughest amateur cycling marathon? We wanted to answer that question with this mini-series and show people what Anna Lena and Fabian are capable of. The goal was to tell the story of two amateurs giving it all to achieve their big dream: finishing the Ötztaler Cycle Marathon.
The Execution.
The project started six months before the event when training began. We accompanied the two amateur athletes from the start of their winter training, through the training camp in Spain, to the completion of the Ötztaler. Their suffering, their joy and their great will were shown throughout eight episodes.
The Results.
The series aired on YouTube and Instagram with a combined viewership of 197,000 views across both platforms. The fans were given a unique insight into the preparation for the Ötztaler, as well as the training methods of a professional cycling coach. The series also motivated our CEO so much that he signed up for the Ötztaler 2024. It's pretty safe to say: goal achieved.
